ALL SWEDISH CELEBRATION OF LIFE

We will hold a Swedish Celebration of Life event at the House of Sweden to honor  departed members of all San Diego Swedish-American organizations.

Participating organizations include SWEA, VASA Lodges Gustav V #175 and #667, House of Sweden, the Swedish Consulate, SACC/SD and the Swedish Center.

The service will be led by Pastor Staffan Eklund of the Svenska Kyrkan Los Angeles and include songs by members of the San Diego Swedish Choir. We will also read aloud the names of those friends and members who have passed away since 2008.

Following the service there will be a “Kyrk Kaffe” (coffee and light-food) reception at the House of Sweden. You are encouraged to help with this by bringing coffee bread or cookies.

Families of our departed members are welcome to bring photos or other mementos to share.

All members are encouraged to attended this special event.
